Dan's Prayers for Choir Practice

Dear Lord,
As we gather here tonight we are grateful for a change in the weather: cold and snow and pouring rainy darkness gave way today to a more benign regime, albeit an apparently temporary one, and the sunlight that we enjoyed today made our day rosier. We may perhaps have thought of the old saying "God's in His heaven and all's right with the world." We know that You are not just there in heaven, but all around us, in the sun glinting off snowy remnants, in the clarity of the fresh, chilled air, and in the radiance of a cool blue sky arching up to meet You in that glorious heaven. We know that You are with us in every note we sing, in every breath, in every word, and for that, and for all of Your blessings we are truly thankful. Amen.
