Dan's Prayers for Choir Practice

Dear Lord,
Returning to an
activity can sometimes
be difficult,
and we can
find ourselves
experiencing mixed feelings:
the slight feeling of
a burdensome return
to routine
is weighted against
the sensation of welcome,
of friends greeting friends.
While there is routine
in our Thursday nights,
it is a happy routine,
a comfortable familiarity that warms us
and helps us to create music in Your praise.
A life without responsibility,
without a happy routine,
without a song of praise
would be a poor thing indeed,
and we are ever grateful
for the opportunity to meet here
in Your house and sing Your word.
We thank you for our Thursday nights,
and for the friends that we find here.
Amen
